The most challenging part of hunting the legendary animals is the actual tracking of them. Hunting the Legendary Fox for its claw should be one of your early tasks prior to tracking down the rest on this list. The Fox Claw Trinket will increase Arthur's Eagle Eye by 5 seconds. You're going to spend a lot of time in Eagle Eye while hunting these creatures. An extra 5 seconds will go a long way to avoid frustration. Definitely start exploring the map early on so you can find the Legendary Fox at Mattock Pond, just north of Rhodes.

9 9. Legendary Buck

If there's one thing that causes frustration in Red Dead Redemption 2, it's hunting an animal with a bow, only to loot a poor pelt after skinning it.Thankfully, the Legendary Buck's antlerhas you covered. The Legendary Buck Antler trinket increases the quality of skinned animals. Essentially this means your chances of getting pristine pelts are higher. It's not guaranteed, of course. Don't expect to get a pristine pelt from a rabbit you just killed with a shotgun. You can find the Legendary Buck on Mt. Shan, just northeast of Strawberry.

8 8. Legendary Pronghorn

The Legendary Pronghorn isn't too difficult, but it is fast and will run away if spooked. If you use Dead Eye and you're patient, this should be a piece of cake. Killingitwill reward you with its horn.

You'll need this horn to craft the Legendary Pronghorn Horn trinket. This trinket's perk will prevent all animal carcasses from being spoiled over time. You can find the Legendary Pronghorn can be found near the Rio Del Lobo Rock, just west of the Rio Bravo. Unfortunately, this area is only available in the epilogue, after chapter 6.

7 7. Legendary Moose

Being a skilled gunslinger and hunter is all well and good, but thatwon't matter if you don't look good doing it. While the Moose Antler Trinket is useful for the 10% health experience bonus, you'll want to hunt down theLegendary Moose forits hide. The Legendary Moose Hunting Jacket is by far one of the best looking coats in the game. Granted, this jacket is meant to keep Arthur warm, so it's not recommended that you wear this on a hot day. This animalcan be found north of Roanoke Valley, almost where the game's map ends.

6 6. Legendary Beaver

Weapon durability isn't a game mechanic that everyone loves, butRed Dead Redemption 2 aims to be as realistic as possible. Since weapons degrade over time, they need to be maintained and cleaned throughout the game. The Legendary Beaver Tooth trinket will slow downdegradation by 10%. While this isn't a drastic change, it will bring up the quality of life overall for your game. You can limit those trips to the blacksmith for gun oil. The Legendary Beaver can be found west of Van Horn Trading Post, just south of Elysian Pool.

5 5.Legendary Elk

The one thing your gang needs to survive is money (or "muneh" is Arthur pronounces it). The best way to find money in the early stages of the game is to constantly loot bodies. Due to this, you'll want to hunt the Legendary Elk early for its antler. This animal is shy and generally won't attack you.

The Legendary Elk Antler Trinket increases the value of looted money by 10%. Your gang will always appreciate some extra funds for the camp, especially Dutch. The Legendary Elk can be found on the border of New Hanover and Ambarino, just northeast of Fort Wallace.

4 4. Legendary White Bison

10 Legendary Animals You Need To Hunt In Red Dead Redemption 2 (8)

This giant majestic creature will require a lot of firepower, so a shotgun is recommended to take this one on.The Bison Horn Talisman you can craft is somewhat useful since it decreases the speed at which your stamina core drains by 10%. The real treat here is the clothing you can get. The Legendary White Bison's hide lets you craft the most ridiculous hat in the game. Don't be surprised if NPCs in the game look at you weird. If you're itching to wear this hat, you can find the white bison on the northern shore of Lake Isabella.

3 3. Legendary Boar

10 Legendary Animals You Need To Hunt In Red Dead Redemption 2 (9)

You can spend hours upon hours in Red Dead Redemption 2. A huge majority of those hours will be spent riding on horseback. Unless you've found White Arabian (the best horse in the game), then your steed is going to get tired quickly. Hunting the Legendary Boar will let you craft a trinket that decreases the speed at which your horse's stamina drains by 10%. Be careful though, as this animal is vicious. Like any other boar in the game, it's a tough creature that will require a lot of bullets. You can find the Legendary Boar on the northwest section of Bluewater Marsh.

2 2. Legendary Bull Gator

10 Legendary Animals You Need To Hunt In Red Dead Redemption 2 (10)

Like the Legendary Pronghorn, you can only find the Legendary Bull Gator after chapter 6. It can be found in the Marshy Swamps, just south of Lagras. While the bull gator can be quite deadly up close, it moves very slow. As always, activate Dead Eye to get some quick headshots. The Alligator Tooth Trinket will decrease the speed of your Dead Eye coredrain by 10%. Having some extra time in Dead Eye will always be useful. Also, you can craft a hat from its hide that will make Arthur look like Crocodile Dundee.

1 1. Legendary Panther

10 Legendary Animals You Need To Hunt In Red Dead Redemption 2 (11)

One thing to note here is that you can only find the Legendary Panther in Bolger Blade after you've completed nine Master Hunter Challenges. This is definitely oneof the hardest legendary animals to take down due to itsquick deadly attacks.Make sureyou keep your distance with a good sniper rifle after you've planted some bait. Killing the panther will let you craft the Panther's Eye Trinket, which reduces the speed at which your Dead Eye bar drains by 10% for 3 seconds. This is ironic considering you'll need that extra bonus when hunting this animal.Additionally, you willbe able to craft a nifty cloak from its hide that you can wear for fashion and bragging rights.
